Acid blends for feed and water
Acid blends for feed and water (Acid Blends, feed/water) are functional additives based on combinations of organic and/or inorganic acids, designed to acidify animal feed and drinking water. Their role is to control pH, improve the hygienic status of feeding systems, reduce the load of pathogenic microorganisms and support gut health in farm animals. In aqua, poultry and swine production, these blends help stabilize the microbiological quality of compound feeds, premixes and water, with potential improvements in feed conversion and more stable average daily gain in intensive systems. They are available in liquid and powder forms, allowing easy use in complete feeds, supplements and water acidification systems.
Advanced Mycotoxin Detoxifiers (Enzymatic/Yeast Wall)
Advanced mycotoxin detoxifiers (enzymatic / yeast wall) are specialized feed and pet food additives designed to bind, biotransform or reduce the biological availability of mycotoxins present in cereals, milling and oilseed by‑products and finished feeds. These formulations typically combine yeast cell wall fractions (beta‑glucans, mannan‑oligosaccharides) with specific enzymes and other components targeting different groups of mycotoxins. They are intended for continuous use in concentrates, compound feeds, premixes and supplements to help mitigate the negative impact of mycotoxins on performance, feed intake, immunity and reproductive outcomes in animals.

Antioxidants (Natural or Synthetic)
Antioxidants (natural or synthetic) are specialized additives for cat and dog food designed to protect fats, oils and other sensitive nutrients from oxidation. Their use prevents rancidity, loss of nutritional value and deterioration of color and aroma in complete diets, treats and complementary pet products. In formulations for cats and dogs, antioxidants support feed stability throughout storage and distribution, preserving palatability and consistent finished product quality.
Barley
Barley is a cereal grain widely used in feeds for aquaculture, beef cattle, dairy cows, poultry and swine, primarily as a starch‑based energy source with a moderate fiber contribution. In animal diets, barley supports a stable energy supply, improves feed structure and contributes to the texture of pelleted and extruded feeds. Compared to corn, barley contains more crude fiber and less oil, which is advantageous in formulations where moderate energy release and better functional structure of the diet are desired.
Barley (Cooked)
Cooked barley is a thermally processed form of barley intended for pet nutrition, especially for dogs and cats, used in complete diets, complementary feeds and treats. The cooking process (steaming, extrusion, boiling) gelatinizes starch, increases digestibility and improves texture, which is important in premium and super‑premium pet food formulations. Cooked barley provides moderate energy release, contributes to satiety and helps build a stable structure in dry kibbles, wet and semi‑moist products.
Barley Malt Extract
Barley malt extract is a highly concentrated source of readily fermentable carbohydrates obtained from germinated and dried barley. In animal and pet nutrition, it is used primarily as a sweetener, a source of rapidly available energy and a palatability enhancer. Due to its high content of maltodextrins, maltose and other soluble sugars, barley malt extract is particularly suitable for pet food formulations (dry, semi‑moist and wet) as well as for specialized poultry and swine feeds where good feed intake and stable energy supply are critical.
Beef Meal
Beef meal is a high‑protein ingredient obtained by the controlled processing of edible bovine tissues (muscle, fat and selected by‑products) that are rendered, dried and milled into a homogeneous meal. In pet food, it is used as a concentrated source of animal protein and energy, with standardized levels of crude protein, fat, ash and moisture. Beef meal supplies essential amino acids required for maintaining muscle mass, growth and tissue repair, making it a key ingredient in premium and super‑premium dog and cat foods.
Beet Molasses
Beet molasses is a viscous, dark liquid and a by‑product of sugar beet processing during crystal sugar production. In feed and pet food it is used as a readily available sugar‑based energy source (sucrose, glucose, fructose), as well as a palatability enhancer and dust‑binder. Due to its natural content of potassium, calcium and other minerals, beet molasses also contributes to mineral supply, particularly in ruminant rations. It is stable, easily pumpable and suitable for both liquid and dry dosing systems in feed mills.
Beet Pulp
Beet pulp is a fibrous feed ingredient obtained after sugar extraction from sugar beet roots. The remaining plant material is pressed, optionally molassed, and then dried and pelleted or kept in moist/ensiled form for direct on‑farm use. In animal nutrition it serves as a highly digestible fiber and pectin‑based energy source, particularly suitable for ruminants, and as a functional fiber in pet food. Beet pulp supports gut health, stabilizes digestion and improves the physical structure of feeds, premixes and pellets.
Beta-Glucanase
Beta-glucanase is an enzyme that specifically hydrolyzes beta-glucans – insoluble and soluble non-starch polysaccharides present in cereals such as barley, oats and wheat. As a technological feed additive, beta-glucanase is added to concentrates and premixes to break down viscous beta-glucans in the gut, reduce digesta viscosity and improve the utilization of energy and nutrients. In commercial products it is typically supplied in microgranulated or liquid form, stabilized for use in pelleted and extruded feeds.
Beta-glucans (Yeast)
Yeast beta-glucans are a natural fraction of the cell wall of brewer’s or baker’s yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae), rich in polysaccharides with predominant β-1,3/1,6 linkages. In dog and cat nutrition they are used as a functional ingredient and pet food additive in dry and wet diets, premixes and treats. Yeast beta-glucans are recognized for their role in supporting the immune response and overall condition, particularly during periods of stress, growth, dietary change or intensive activity in working and sporting dogs. In the pet food industry they are commonly associated with claims such as “immune support” and “gut health”, within the limits of nutrition-based communication.
Betaine
Betaine (trimethylglycine) is a quaternary amine and methyl donor naturally present in many plant and animal tissues. In the feed and aquafeed industry it is used as a nutritional additive and osmolyte in complete feeds, premixes and complementary diets. Betaine helps regulate cellular osmotic pressure, supporting water and electrolyte balance, particularly in animals exposed to heat stress or high salinity environments. It also functions as an efficient methyl donor in metabolism, partly replacing choline or methionine in formulations, and is widely used as a palatability enhancer, especially in fish and shrimp feeds.

Blood Meal
Blood meal is a high-protein animal-origin ingredient produced by drying and grinding the blood of slaughtered animals from the meat industry, most commonly pigs and cattle. It is characterized by very high crude protein content (often >85%) with a high level of lysine and other essential amino acids, and very low levels of fat and carbohydrates. Due to its concentrated protein and amino acid profile, it is used as a high-quality protein concentrate in feeds for poultry, swine and aquaculture, especially in high-performance starter and grower diets. The use of blood meal is strictly regulated, with requirements for traceability, thermal treatment and biosecurity.
Brewer's Yeast
Brewer’s yeast is a by-product of the brewing industry derived from Saccharomyces cerevisiae cultures used in beer fermentation. In dog and cat nutrition it is used as a functional ingredient in premixes, complete diets and treats, thanks to its content of high-quality proteins, B vitamins and bioactive mannan-oligosaccharides and beta‑glucans from the cell wall. Brewer’s yeast is well known for its positive effect on feed palatability, gut health support and overall nutritional status, particularly in pet food formulations focused on vitality, shiny coat and overall resilience.
